The Creative Process​
Every collaboration begins with a conversation — one rooted in curiosity, care, and beauty. Whether you’re envisioning delicate day-of stationery, an illustrated website, bespoke guest favors, or a full suite of printed and digital pieces, our process is designed to guide you with intention, artistry, and ease.
1. Exploration & Selection
Begin by browsing our offerings — from timeless luxury stationery to a full bespoke mural. This is where you begin to shape your vision, guided by inspiration, intuition, and what feels most true to you. You’ll also have the opportunity to choose your desired level of personalisation:

Tailored Editions: adaptations of existing designs, customised to you and your story

Couture Commissions: entirely bespoke, where the creative process begins from a blank page
2. Inquiry & Initial Connection
Once you have a sense of what you’re drawn to, submit our inquiry form. Each request is carefully reviewed by Emérence and her team. Depending on the scope, complexity, and availability, we’ll arrange a follow-up call to discuss your ideas in depth. While email exchanges are possible, a phone consultation is warmly recommended for large projects to allow for nuance, clarity, and connection.
3. Creative Consultation
During our conversation, we’ll walk you through our curated private portfolio — highlighting selected past works and refining your Wish-list together. This step is intimate and highly collaborative, allowing you to identify which pieces resonate and where new creative ground may be explored. From there, we prepare a tailored offer, shaped by your chosen direction, timeline, and level of customisation.
please note: While simpler adaptations for Tailored Editions may be entrusted to a member of the studio team, Emérence personally reserves full Couture projects, allowing for deep artistic immersion and one-of-a-kind illustration work.

4. Schedule & Production
​
Once your proposal is approved, your project will be added to the studio calendar as a "design slot". Once the design slot begins, we will be very closely connected, ensuring clarity at every step and alignment with your vision. Please consider the following average time-lines for projects:

Tailored Editions: require approximately a 2 months lead-time + 2-4 weeks for production.

Couture Projects: require minimum 6-month lead-time + 4-8 weeks for production. ​
5. Delivery & Unveiling
​
When your piece is ready, it is either launched digitally or shipped — wherever in the world you may be. ​
